- Description:
This is a genuine Ford exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve for the 2.5L Atkinson-cycle plug-in hybrid powertrain used in the 2020-2025 Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair PHEV. The EGR valve meters a controlled amount of cooled exhaust back into the intake to lower combustion temperatures, cut NOx emissions, and improve fuel economy on the 2.5L PHEV engine. Also cataloged as an EGR valve control solenoid and transducer assembly, it mounts to the EGR system and is electronically controlled by the powertrain module. When this valve sticks, clogs with carbon, or fails electrically, common symptoms include a check engine light with EGR flow or position codes, rough idle, hesitation, light knock or pinging under load, and failed emissions testing. This part supersedes earlier LX6Z-9J433-A and LX6Z-9J433-B and is a direct OEM replacement built to Ford tolerances for correct flow and sealing.
