• Description:

  Authentic Ford Motor Company replacement left-hand driver-side hood hinge for the 20-25 Ford Escape. This driver-side hinge is the mirror-image companion to the -16796-A right-hand hinge and is the OEM service level part. The hinge bolts between the left cowl flange and the underside of the hood and provides the pivot axis that allows the hood to open for service access and seat flush against the left front fender when closed. Each piece is sold individually and the left and right hinges are not interchangeable. The hinge uses the original Ford fastener pattern and torque specifications; the hood-to-hinge fasteners should always be replaced with new Ford bolts during installation and torqued per the workshop manual. Replacing a bent, corroded, or collision-damaged hinge restores proper hood alignment to the left front fender, cowl, and grille and prevents water leakage at the cowl, improper latch engagement, and visible misalignment across the hood-to-fender gap. After installation, hood alignment should be checked and adjusted at all four corners per the Ford service procedure.
