Genuine Ford EGR Tube Gasket LX6Z-9D476-B is the OEM metal-and-graphite exhaust gas recirculation tube gasket sealing the EGR feed tube to the cylinder head exhaust port flange on 20-25 Ford Escape, 22-25 Ford Maverick, and 20-25 Lincoln Corsair vehicles equipped with the 2.3L EcoBoost, the 2.5L Atkinson hybrid, or the 2.5L PHEV powertrain. The gasket is multi-layer steel with a graphite facing engineered to maintain a leak-free seal across thousands of thermal cycles between cold start and full-load exhaust temperatures that routinely exceed 1400 degrees Fahrenheit. EGR tube gasket failure is one of the most common causes of audible exhaust ticking at cold idle, exhaust odor under hood, soot streaking at the EGR flange, MIL illumination, and trouble codes such as P0401 EGR insufficient flow detected, P0402 EGR excessive flow, and P0404 EGR control range/performance. Always replace the gasket whenever the EGR tube or cooler is disturbed, and torque the fasteners to specification per Ford Workshop Manual.
