  Authentic Ford Motor Company replacement left-hand driver-side rear quarter outer wheel opening molding for the 20-25 Ford Escape, finished in carbon black. This is the driver-side companion to the -78290A60-AA right-hand wheel opening molding. The molding follows the contour of the rear quarter panel wheel opening on the driver side and matches the appearance of the lower body side cladding. Each piece is sold individually and the left- and right-hand rear wheel opening moldings are not interchangeable. The molding uses the factory clip and pre-applied automotive-grade adhesive tape pattern to bond to the painted body; no external fasteners are required. Replacing a cracked, faded, peeling, or curb-scraped wheel opening molding restores the original factory appearance of the rear quarter wheel opening, covers chipped paint along the wheel opening edge, and protects the underlying body sheet metal from continued rock and debris damage. Best installation practice removes any original clips and original adhesive residue from the body before mounting the new molding; reused clips can cause loose seating and on-road rattles.
