It fits 2020 through 2025 Ford Escape across the 1.5L EcoBoost three-cylinder, 2.0L EcoBoost four-cylinder, 2.5L full hybrid, and 2.5L plug-in hybrid powertrains, mounting to the right-hand front corner of the C2 unibody chassis. Worn or leaking struts announce themselves through a bouncy or floating ride, nose dive under braking, clunking over bumps, uneven or cupped tire wear, and reduced steering precision, all signs the damper has lost its oil charge or its internal valving has failed. This is the genuine Ford service unit and matches the factory spring rate, ride height, and damping calibration for the specific engine and suspension build, so the replacement retains the original handling character rather than the mismatched feel of a generic damper. Because struts wear at similar rates from side to side, replacing the opposing left-hand unit at the same time restores balanced damping and even braking. The lower mounting bolt and nut and the upper mount bolt and nut associated with this strut are single-use torque-to-yield fasteners; discard the originals and install new hardware to the specified torque, as reused fasteners can loosen or fail. After installation the vehicle should receive a front wheel alignment to restore correct camber and toe settings.
