  Authentic Ford Motor Company replacement SEL tailgate nameplate for the 20-25 Ford Escape SEL trim level. This is the script SEL emblem that mounts to the rear liftgate of the SEL trim Escape and identifies the trim level at the back of the vehicle. Verify the trim level of the original vehicle before ordering since other trim levels (S, SE, Titanium, ST-Line, etc.) use different nameplates. The nameplate is supplied with a pre-applied automotive-grade adhesive backing that bonds to the painted liftgate surface; no mechanical fasteners are used. Replacing a scratched, faded, peeling, or stolen trim emblem restores the original factory appearance of the rear of the vehicle and protects the underlying paint from environmental exposure where the original adhesive seal has failed. Installation requires careful surface cleaning, alignment to the original mounting outline, and firm pressure across the full footprint of the nameplate for proper bond development. The original adhesive should be fully removed from the painted liftgate before applying the replacement.
