Genuine Ford Transfer Case Output Shaft Seal M1MZ-7B215-A is the OEM-spec oil seal that prevents transfer case lubricant from leaking past the output shaft where the rear or front driveshaft mates to the case on a wide range of 20-25 Ford and Lincoln applications including 20-25 Ford Explorer, 20-25 Lincoln Aviator, 20-25 Lincoln Navigator, 20-25 Ford F-150, and 20-25 Ford F-350 Super Duty trucks. The seal features a fluorocarbon main lip backed by a spring-loaded garter and a dust lip to keep contaminants out of the housing. A leaking transfer case output seal is typically diagnosed by gear-oil drips at the driveshaft yoke, oil mist on the underbody behind the case, transfer case fluid level low at service inspection, and in advanced cases noisy operation under load due to internal lubrication starvation. Always inspect the driveshaft yoke sealing surface for grooving and the slip yoke splines for wear before pressing in a new seal. Installation requires the correct OEM driver tool to avoid distortion. Verify VIN fitment before installation.
