This is a genuine Ford OEM front strut assembly for the passenger side of the 20-25 Ford Explorer with all-wheel drive, excluding Interceptor configurations, with the 3.0L EcoBoost engine in ST trim. The strut is a complete pre-loaded assembly including the strut tube, internal valving, coil spring, upper mount, and upper bearing. As an OEM Ford strut the damping curves, spring rate, and overall length are calibrated to the 3.0L ST AWD chassis tuning, which is firmer than non-ST Explorer trims and includes the sport-specific ride height. non-OEM struts in this application frequently lack the ST-specific damping calibration, leading to either over-damped harshness or under-damped float, both of which compromise the sport-tuned ride and handling. Confirm trim, drivetrain, and engine before ordering. Always replace front struts as a pair to maintain symmetric handling. Install per Ford workshop manual, transferring any required brackets, and align the vehicle after installation.
