• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford OEM front strut spring upper insulator pad for the 20-25 Ford Explorer. The insulator sits between the top of the front coil spring and the upper strut mount, providing the cushion that isolates spring vibration and noise from the body structure and the cabin. As an OEM Ford part the durometer, thickness, and seating geometry are calibrated to the Explorer front suspension coil spring and upper mount geometry, ensuring quiet operation and consistent spring preload across the suspension stroke. Worn or split spring insulators present as creaks and pops over speed bumps and during steering input, and a missing insulator allows the coil to ride directly on the upper mount steel, accelerating wear of both components. Replace whenever the strut is being serviced. Install per Ford workshop manual with the strut assembly out of the vehicle and the coil spring compressed for safety, seating the insulator flat against the upper coil before relaxing the spring compressor.
