This is a genuine Ford OEM single passenger window switch for the 20-25 Ford Explorer, used at the front passenger and both rear door positions for the secondary window controls. The switch operates the local window only and integrates into the door armrest trim pad via the OEM mounting tabs. As an OEM Ford part it carries the correct LIN bus protocol and connector pinout to communicate with the body control module, ensuring proper window up, down, and one-touch behavior where equipped. non-OEM single-window switches commonly fail to match the OEM connector keying or the bus communication, resulting in inoperative windows or intermittent function. Replace whenever a single window switch becomes unresponsive, sticks in the depressed position, or shows worn rocker mechanism. Install with the door panel removed, transfer the harness connector with care to avoid bending pins, and verify the window cycles correctly through its full travel before reinstalling the door panel. One switch is needed per affected door position.
