This is a genuine Ford OEM rear bumper impact absorber and isolator for the 20-25 Ford Explorer in trailer tow configurations and for Timberline trim. The isolator is the energy-absorbing structure mounted between the rear bumper reinforcement beam and the rear body structure on Explorers equipped with the factory trailer tow package or with the Timberline off-road trim. As an OEM Ford part the isolator geometry and crush profile accommodate the trailer hitch crossmember packaging and the additional rear structural reinforcement that the tow package adds to the rear body. The Timberline variant uses the same part because the Timberline rear fascia and bumper packaging closely follows the trailer-tow rear configuration. Confirm trailer tow or Timberline equipment before ordering. Damaged or compressed isolators must be replaced after any rear impact to restore the designed crash performance. Install with the bumper cover and reinforcement beam removed and reassemble in reverse order with fasteners torqued to Ford specification.
