This is a genuine Ford engine control valve for 20-25 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks equipped with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine. The valve controls fluid flow, vacuum, or air pressure in one of the engine management subsystems such as exhaust gas recirculation, turbocharger wastegate, or fuel rail pressure regulation depending on the specific application location. Common failure modes include solenoid electrical failure, internal valve seat wear causing leakage, sticking from carbon buildup or contamination, and damage to the wiring harness pigtail. Symptoms include a check engine light with subsystem-specific diagnostic trouble codes, incorrect boost pressure, increased EGR-related codes, rough running, reduced power, increased smoke output under load, and limp-home power reduction in severe cases.
