This genuine Ford water outlet connection, Ford catalog name Connection - Water Outlet, fits 2020-2025 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks and 2021-2025 E-350 vans across multiple engines including the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel and the 6.8L and 7.3L gas V8s. Part number LC3Z-8592-A. It serves as the coolant outlet and thermostat housing connection, routing engine coolant between the cooling passages and the radiator and degas circuit and sealing the flow with integrated seals at each connection point. Over time the housing can crack, warp, or become brittle from heat cycling and the seals can harden, producing coolant seepage, drips at the front of the engine, low coolant level, overheating, or a sweet coolant smell. Because the cooling system operates under pressure, a failed outlet connection can lose coolant quickly and lead to overheating if ignored. Replacing it with this OEM connection restores a leak-free coolant path. Install with fresh Ford-specified coolant and new seals, bleed the cooling system per Ford procedure, and verify there are no leaks after reaching operating temperature.
