This is a brand new genuine Ford OEM manifold absolute pressure sensor carrying part number LC3Z-9F479-A, fitting 20-25 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks equipped with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel, and 20-25 F-150 trucks equipped with the 3.0L Power Stroke diesel. The MAP sensor measures intake manifold pressure and provides the signal the powertrain control module needs for fuel trim, boost control, and load calculation. The diesel variants share the sensor across the 6.7L heavy duty and 3.0L light duty platforms. Common failure modes include sensor element drift from soot or oil contamination on the diaphragm, connector pin corrosion, and intermittent open-circuit faults that produce flickering MAP readings on the scan tool. Symptoms include rough idle, reduced power under load, P0107 or P0108 fault codes, and possible boost-related limp-mode events on the 6.7L PSD. Replacement is straightforward; the sensor unbolts from its mounting boss with a single fastener and connector.
