This is a brand new genuine Ford OEM accessory belt idler pulley carrying part number LC3Z-8678-B, fitting 20-25 F-Super Duty trucks and 21-25 E-350 and E-450 Super Duty cutaway vans equipped with the 6.8L or 7.3L Godzilla gas V8, in the lower idler position with smooth pulley face. The pulley provides a smooth tracking surface for the back side of the serpentine belt in the main accessory drive. Smooth-face idlers run on the smooth backside of the belt rather than the ribbed face, and substituting a grooved pulley in this location will produce immediate noise and premature belt destruction. Bearing failure typically presents as audible growl or chirp at idle, visible bearing seal failure, or pulley wobble. Replace any time bearing roughness, runout, or seal degradation is detected; replace adjacent idlers and inspect tensioner spring force concurrently because failed idlers commonly cascade into tensioner damage. Sold individually with the pulley pre-assembled to the bearing and mounting flange. Verify position on the diagram and confirm engine option by VIN before ordering.
