This is a brand new genuine Ford OEM EGR tube gasket carrying part number LC3Z-9E464-A, fitting 20-25 F-Super Duty trucks equipped with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel. The gasket seals the exhaust gas recirculation tube to its mating port and is a one-time-use service item that should be replaced any time the EGR tube is loosened or removed for service. EGR tube gaskets on the 6.7L PSD are subject to extreme thermal cycling because recirculated exhaust gas enters the gasket at high temperature; the multi-layer steel and high-temperature carrier construction is engineered to maintain a seal across the full operating range. Reusing a gasket after disturbing the joint commonly produces a recirculated exhaust leak that is recognizable by sooty buildup around the tube fitting, illuminated EGR-related fault codes, and reduced fuel economy as the engine compensates for incorrect EGR mass flow.
