  This is a genuine Ford mass air flow sensor for 20-25 E-350 and E-450 Super Duty cutaway vans and 20-25 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks equipped with the 7.3L Godzilla gasoline V8 engine. Dealer catalog references note that this sensor is included as part of the complete air cleaner assembly and document the cartridge as the metered airflow input to the powertrain control module. The MAF determines fueling at every operating point, so contamination, oil mist from a saturated air filter, or physical damage from improper cleaning will produce lean codes, rough idle, and surging under cruise. Genuine Ford MAF sensors arrive calibrated to the factory transfer function and do not require relearn procedures beyond the standard idle relearn.
