  This Genuine Ford oil pump pickup tube gasket fits 20-25 F-Super Duty trucks with the 7.3L Godzilla or 6.8L gas V8. The gasket seals the oil pump pickup tube to the engine oil pump body, ensuring that the oil pump draws clean oil from the sump without aeration or air ingestion at the joint, which would cause low oil pressure, lifter noise, and accelerated bearing wear. The gasket is a one-time-use sealing element; whenever the oil pan is removed for any reason and the pickup tube is disturbed, including a timing chain replacement, oil pump replacement, or rear main seal service, the gasket should be replaced before reassembly. non-OEM gaskets often use the wrong cord diameter or compound, leading to slow oil pressure problems at high temperature and low rpm.
