• Description:

  This Genuine Ford rocker arm fits 20-25 F-Super Duty trucks with the 7.3L Godzilla gas V8. The rocker arm transfers motion from the pushrod to the valve stem, opening the intake or exhaust valve once per engine cycle against the valve spring tension. The rocker arm pivots on a stand, with the geometry set by the OEM pushrod length and stand height; the assembly is designed to maintain a specific rocker tip sweep across the valve stem tip to minimize side load on the guide and minimize wear at the tip. A failed rocker arm causes a sharp ticking that does not vary with rpm, a dead cylinder, or in extreme cases a bent pushrod or damaged valve. non-OEM rocker arms commonly use inferior alloys or incorrect geometry that increases valve guide wear and side loading. Use the correct torque sequence on the rocker stand fasteners, prime the lifter and pushrod oil galleries before final cranking, then re-check valve cover sealing surfaces and torque before returning the engine to service.
