• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford HEGO oxygen sensor for 21-23 F-150 with the 2.7L EcoBoost, fitted at the upper right position ahead of the catalytic converter. The sensor monitors the oxygen content in the exhaust gases and feeds the data to the powertrain control module, which adjusts the air-fuel mixture to maintain proper stoichiometric combustion and emissions performance. Failure modes typically present as a check engine light with oxygen sensor or fuel trim codes (commonly P0131 through P0138 in the appropriate bank), or in advanced cases reduced fuel economy and elevated emissions readings. The sensor is threaded into the exhaust manifold or downpipe and is best removed when the exhaust is fully cooled to avoid binding the threads. Apply a small amount of high-temperature anti-seize compound to the new sensor threads (not on the sensor body itself) before installation, and torque to the published Ford specification. Use a dedicated oxygen sensor socket with the relief slot to avoid damaging the sensor wiring. After installation, clear any stored DTCs and run the truck through a complete drive cycle to allow the fuel trim adaptation to update before confirming repair.
