  Front suspension shock absorber for 21-23 Ford F-150 4WD trucks with 141 inch wheelbase, base payload package, configured without the Sport Tuned Shock option, equipped with heavy duty dual front shocks, fitting trucks with 3.5L EcoBoost or 5.0L Ti-VCT engines. This is the OEM Motorcraft shock absorber that mounts to the front suspension, controlling the spring oscillations as the truck travels over road irregularities. The shock includes the mounting hardware position for the upper and lower attachments and the proper damping rate engineered for the specific payload, wheelbase, and engine combination listed. Replacement scenarios include the shock leaking oil (a clear indicator of internal seal failure), the truck riding harshly or excessively bouncing after bumps, audible knocking from the front suspension during compression cycles, or reaching the high mileage point where shocks typically need replacement (around 80,000 to 100,000 miles depending on use). Both front shocks are typically replaced as a pair to maintain symmetric damping characteristics on both sides of the vehicle.
