The blade is a single-arm rear wiper designed to clear the back window of the hardtop or soft top, providing rear visibility in rain, snow, or muddy off-road conditions. The blade is paired with the dedicated rear wiper arm and rear wiper motor mounted in the swing gate assembly. Construction uses a UV-stabilized frame with an integrated rubber wiping element optimized for the curvature of the Bronco back glass. Symptoms calling for replacement include streaking or skipping across the rear glass during wiper operation, audible chatter or squealing, visible cracking of the rubber edge from UV and ozone exposure, ice damage during winter operation, and reduced visibility through the rear glass due to a worn wiping edge no longer making consistent contact. The rear wiper experiences different wear conditions than the front wipers due to less frequent use, and should be inspected during seasonal maintenance.
