  Genuine Ford Hood Stop Bumper M1PZ-16758-A is the OEM hood-to-fender bump stop cushion used at the lower edge of the engine hood on 21-25 Ford Bronco Sport SUVs. The bumper is a small rubber or thermoplastic elastomer pad that mounts to the cowl or front structure and cushions the hood at its closed position to prevent metal-to-metal contact, control panel alignment, and eliminate hood rattle at idle or during off-road driving. Multiple bumpers are typically used per vehicle, located at the front corners of the hood and along the rear edge near the windshield cowl. Symptoms calling for replacement include audible hood rattle while driving over rough terrain or at high RPM idle, visible compression or hardening of the original rubber from age and underhood heat exposure, missing bumpers after collision repair, and hood panel alignment problems where the hood sits too high or too low at the closed position.
