• Description:

  Genuine Ford OEM crankshaft pulley and harmonic balancer part number HL3Z-6312-B, the front-of-engine accessory drive pulley that also damps crankshaft torsional vibrations. This pulley fits 21-25 Ford Explorer and Police Interceptor Utility vehicles equipped with either the 3.3L gasoline V6 or the 3.3L hybrid V6 engines, from the 11/1/21 production cutover. The part supersedes earlier service number HL3Z-6312-A. The crankshaft pulley bolt is a torque-to-yield single-use fastener and must be replaced whenever the pulley is removed. Replacement is appropriate when the rubber damper ring separates from the steel hub, when the pulley wobbles indicating bearing or hub damage, or when the accessory belt grooves wear through. A failed harmonic balancer can cause crankshaft fatigue cracking over time, so service is not optional once damage is identified. The pulley ships with the factory balance specification and the elastomer damper ring bonded to the steel hub. Installation requires the workshop crankshaft pulley installer tool and torque to the factory specification with the angular rotation step. Note that this is an Explorer and Police Interceptor Utility part, not an F-150 part, despite sharing the HL3Z prefix. Ships in original Ford packaging.
