• Description:

  This Genuine Ford ML3Z-6020-B is the engine oil cooler gasket for 21-25 F-150 trucks equipped with 2.7L EcoBoost or 3.0L Power Stroke diesel applications, positioned at the front-upper outer mounting flange of the oil cooler assembly. The gasket seals the oil cooler base to the engine block oil galleries so high-pressure engine oil flows through the cooler core and back into the engine without weeping or external leakage at the cooler-to-block joint. The composite construction with integrated metal core reinforcement at the bolt-hole zones holds seal pressure across thousands of thermal cycles. The gasket is supplied as a service replacement included with the front-cover replacement service and is also ordered separately when the cooler is removed for service or when an oil-weep is traced to the cooler mounting joint. Technicians install this gasket during oil cooler service, oil filter housing replacement, or front-cover R&R where the cooler must be removed to access the cover bolts. The cooler base and block sealing surfaces must be perfectly clean and dry before installation, with the cooler bolts torqued in the Ford-specified pattern and stages to avoid distorting the cooler base and breaking the seal.
