• Description:

  This is a Genuine Ford OEM direct ignition coil boot for 21-25 F-150, 22-25 Expedition, and 22-25 Navigator equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbocharged V6. The boot is the high-voltage silicone insulator that seals between the coil-on-plug unit and the spark plug terminal, conducting the spark discharge through the boot center electrode while sealing out moisture, oil, and contamination from the spark plug well. Each boot ships individually with the factory rubber compound rated for elevated under-hood temperature and the high-pressure combustion environment of the EcoBoost. Suitable as a direct replacement when the original boot has cracked, become brittle, allowed spark crossfire to ground at the plug well, or shows oil contamination from a valve cover gasket leak. Replacing the boots as a set during a coil or plug service is good practice on EcoBoost engines with high mileage. Installation involves removing the coil, separating the worn boot from the coil tower, and seating the new boot before reinstalling the coil onto the spark plug.
