• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford turbocharger inlet gasket for 21-25 F-150 with the 3.5L EcoBoost. The same part number fits both the left and right turbocharger inlet locations on this twin-turbo engine. The gasket seals the turbocharger housing against the exhaust manifold flange, containing the very high-temperature, high-pressure exhaust pulses that drive the turbine wheel. A failing turbocharger inlet gasket typically produces a sharp exhaust tick or chuff that builds with boost pressure, blackened soot trails along the turbo-to-manifold joint, a loss of boost response under throttle, a check engine light with turbocharger-related performance codes, or in severe cases a noticeable underhood smell of unburned hydrocarbons. The gasket is single-use and must be replaced any time the turbocharger is removed for any reason. Mating surfaces must be cleaned of all old material and inspected for warpage or burn-through; replace the manifold or turbo flange if either is outside Ford specification. Follow the published Ford service procedure for turbocharger reinstallation, including torque sequence, final torque value, and any required oil-feed and coolant-feed reconnections.
