  This Genuine Ford ML3Z-4421-A is the front CV joint boot kit for 21-25 F-150 4WD trucks equipped with the Limited Slip torque-biasing front axle. The kit includes the molded rubber boot plus the appropriate band clamps and a packet of factory-spec CV joint grease so the half-shaft joint can be re-sealed without replacing the entire axle assembly. The boot keeps the high-temperature grease packed around the CV joint balls and cages while excluding road grit, water, and salt that would otherwise destroy the joint. Owners install this kit when an inspection finds the original boot torn or split and grease slinging across the wheel well but the joint itself still passes a no-clicking-on-turns test, when a preventive boot replacement is performed during a major axle service, or when an off-road branch strike has torn the boot but left the joint intact. Installation requires the half-shaft to be removed from the vehicle, the CV joint disassembled and packed with the included grease, the new boot slipped over the shaft and seated against the joint housing, and the new band clamps crimped to specification with a proper CV band tool. Confirm joint condition before re-booting since a clicking or vibrating joint will not be repaired by a boot replacement alone.
