  This Genuine Ford ML3Z-3A428-A is the right-hand front CV axle shaft assembly for 21-25 F-150 4WD trucks without the corrosion-protection package. The half-shaft connects the front differential output to the wheel hub through inner and outer constant velocity joints, transmitting torque to the front wheel across the full range of suspension travel and steering input while compensating for the changing operating angle. The complete assembly ships with both CV joints pre-greased, both rubber boots installed, and the axle nut tooth-pattern matched to the factory hub. Owners replace this part when a rhythmic clicking develops on tight low-speed turns indicating outer-joint wear, when vibration appears under acceleration from a worn inner joint, when a torn boot has slung grease across the wheel well and contaminated the joint with road grit, or when fluid loss from a damaged inner stub seal has caused differential level to drop. Installation requires the front knuckle to be partially separated, the original axle nut to be discarded and replaced with a fresh single-use nut, and the new nut to be torqued in stages per Ford specification.
