• Description:

  This Genuine Ford ML3Z-6584-C is the engine valve cover gasket for 21-25 F-150 trucks equipped with the 5.0L Coyote V8 Ti-VCT engine. The molded composite gasket seals the valve cover to the cylinder head face, containing the oil-pressurized rocker compartment within the engine and preventing engine oil from weeping past the cover-to-head joint and dripping onto the exhaust manifold or accessory drive surfaces below. The integrated metal-core reinforcement at the bolt-hole compression zones maintains seal pressure constant across thousands of cold-start and full-load thermal cycles without taking a permanent compression set. Owners install this gasket when an oil seep at the valve cover joint stains the head and runs down the side of the block, when burning oil smell after a long drive indicates oil contacting the exhaust manifold from a leaking cover, when a previous repair left the cover with hardened gasket material and a fresh seal cannot be achieved, or whenever the valve cover is removed for spark plug or coil-on-plug service.
