  This genuine Ford engine oil dipstick, cataloged as an oil level indicator assembly, is the calibrated blade and handle used to check crankcase oil level on the 5.0L Coyote V8 in the 2021 through 2025 F-150. The dipstick slides into the tube on the engine and reads the oil height between its minimum and maximum marks, and because those marks are calibrated to this specific engine and pan, using the correct part is what makes the reading trustworthy. Owners replace the dipstick when the original is bent, snapped, missing its handle, unreadable, or reading inaccurately, or after a wrong-length stick has been fitted and is giving false high or low levels that lead to overfilling or running the engine low on oil. An accurate reading matters because both overfilling and low oil level cause problems, from aeration and seal leaks to bearing wear. Wipe the blade, fully seat it in the tube, withdraw it, and read the film against the marks on a level surface with the engine off and the oil settled.
