  This is a genuine Motorcraft Ford spark plug for the 5.0L Coyote V8 engine in 21-25 F-150 trucks. The platinum-tipped plug provides factory-correct heat range, electrode design, and thread reach for the Gen 4 5.0L Coyote engine. Reasons for replacement include reaching the scheduled service interval (typically 100,000 miles for platinum plugs), misfire diagnosis on a specific cylinder, fouling from a rich-running condition, or worn electrodes after high mileage. Symptoms include rough idle, hesitation under acceleration, reduced fuel economy, hard cold start, and misfire diagnostic trouble codes in the P0301 through P0308 range. Replacement requires removing the engine cover and the eight coil-on-plug assemblies in turn. Ford recommends inspecting the coil boots at every plug change and replacing any boot that shows carbon tracking, hardening, or arcing marks.
