• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford outer water pump gasket and coolant tube seal for 21-25 Ford F-150, Bronco, and Ranger with the 2.7L EcoBoost, and also fits the 3.0L PowerStroke diesel application. The seal preserves the connection between the water pump outlet and the cross-over coolant tube routing to the heads, preventing coolant leakage along the front cover joint. Symptoms of failure include slow coolant loss, faint crusty deposits along the lower front of the engine, or a sweet coolant smell after extended idle. Because this seal is part of the front cooling joint, it must be replaced any time the water pump or the front coolant tube is removed for service. The seal is single-use and the mating surfaces should be cleaned of all residue and old material before installation. Inspect the cross-over tube itself for any pitting or galling on the seal face and replace if compromised. Follow the published Ford torque sequence for the pump and tube fasteners and use only the Motorcraft-specified coolant when refilling. Run the documented bleed procedure to clear air pockets from the cooling circuit, including the turbo feed lines and heater core, before returning the truck to service or load testing the cooling system.
