• Description:

  This is a Genuine Ford OEM door check arm for 21-25 F-150, the strap mechanism that limits how far the door swings open and provides the detent positions where the door holds open. The check arm is the linked steel arm with the molded bushings and the spring-loaded ratchet detent assembly that connects between the door inner shell and the cab body pillar. Each unit ships individually as the factory service piece. Suitable as a direct replacement when the original check arm has lost its detent action so the door no longer holds at the intermediate or fully-open positions and slams shut, the rubber bushings have worn out causing rattle, the strap has corroded, or the detent assembly has come apart. Installation requires removing the door interior trim panel to access the check arm anchor bolts inside the door shell, releasing the cab-side mounting bolt and pin, and seating the new check arm into the same mounting points. Torque to factory spec. Suitable for F-150 XL through Limited trims sharing this door check arm design.
