• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford EGR valve-to-EGR tube gasket for 21-25 F-150, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator with the 3.5L EcoBoost. The gasket seals the connection between the EGR valve and the EGR connecting tube and is included with the EGR modulator assembly when that larger service is performed. A failing gasket typically presents as a vacuum leak warning, intermittent rough idle, a check engine light with EGR-related codes (commonly P0401, P0402, or P0404), or a visible exhaust odor in the engine bay during idle. The gasket is single-use and must be replaced any time the EGR valve or EGR tube is removed for any reason. Mating surfaces must be cleaned of all old material and inspected for warpage; replace the EGR valve or EGR tube if the flange is outside Ford specification. Follow the published Ford service procedure for EGR system reassembly, including torque sequence and final torque values on the connecting fasteners. After installation, clear any stored EGR codes and run the published EGR system self-test routine to confirm proper operation and absence of vacuum leaks before returning the engine to service.
