• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford fuel pump pump-to-plate O-ring gasket for 21-25 F-150, Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, Ford Escape, and Lincoln Nautilus across the 1.5L, 2.0L, 2.3L, and 3.5L EcoBoost engine applications. The gasket seals the high-pressure mechanical fuel pump against its mounting plate on the cylinder head, containing the high-pressure fuel and preventing oil seepage through the cam follower interface. The gasket is included with the complete fuel pump service assembly, but Ford supplies it separately for cases where only the seal has failed. Failure modes include a fuel odor at the back of the engine, oil weep visible at the pump mounting flange, hard starting after extended sit periods, or a check engine light with fuel pressure or lean-condition codes. This gasket is single-use and must be replaced any time the pump is removed for any reason. Clean both mating surfaces thoroughly of old material before installation, and inspect the pump mounting flange and the cylinder head boss for any warpage or scratches. Follow the published Ford torque sequence and final value on the pump mounting bolts, and pressurize the fuel system to confirm absence of leaks before returning the engine to service.
