  Roof panel opening seal, also called the sunroof opening seal, for 21-25 Ford F-150 Crew Cab trucks with 122.5 inch or 131.6 inch wheelbase, F-350 Super Duty, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator vehicles equipped with the panoramic or standard moonroof. This rubber seal mounts around the perimeter of the sunroof opening in the roof sheet metal, sealing the sunroof glass and frame assembly against the roof structure to prevent water intrusion into the interior. Symptoms warranting replacement include water dripping from the headliner edges after rain or carwash cycles, audible wind whistle from the roof area at highway speed, visible aging or compression set in the rubber profile, or staining around the headliner perimeter from past leaks. The OEM seal is shaped to match the specific sunroof aperture geometry used in this generation of F-150 and the SUV bodies sharing the moonroof family, so it provides the correct sealing pressure and dimensional fit without modifications. Installation requires removing or partially detaching the sunroof glass assembly to access the seal flange, peeling the old seal away from the roof opening, cleaning the metal flange thoroughly, and pressing the new seal onto the opening with proper alignment at the corners. Some shops use weatherstrip adhesive at the corners for added retention even though the OEM seal is retained primarily by its clip channel design.
