• Description:

  Front hood weatherstrip (front forward seal) for 21-25 Ford F-150 trucks excluding the Tremor package. This rubber seal mounts to the front edge of the hood underside or the cowl area, sealing the gap between the hood and the cowl plenum to prevent engine bay air, water, and debris from entering the cabin air intake and the underhood electrical compartment. Replacement is appropriate when the seal shows visible age cracking or compression set, when wind noise is audible from the front of the hood at highway speed, when water tracks into the cowl area during rain or car wash cycles, or when underhood odors become noticeable in the cabin. The OEM rubber profile is the correct durometer and shape to mate with the cowl flange and the hood inner sheet metal contour for an effective seal across the temperature range that the truck operates in. Installation removes the existing weatherstrip by pulling it from its retention clip channel or releasing the OEM adhesive bond, then pressing the new seal into the same mounting position with proper alignment from end to end. Some installations require a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive at the ends or corners for additional retention. The seal is supplied as a single continuous piece for the front hood position only and does not include the side seals or rear cowl seals.
