• Description:

  Air conditioning evaporator core for 21-25 Ford F-150, F-150 Lightning, F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty, F-550 Super Duty, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator vehicles. The evaporator is configured for the primary HVAC system on the various body and option combinations including front HVAC with or without rear A/C, auto or manual temperature control, with or without dual zone, with or without auxiliary heat, and the related option permutations. The evaporator includes the integrated A/C expansion valve and is the heat exchanger element that absorbs cabin heat into the refrigerant flow, providing the cooling capability that the climate control system manages. Replacement scenarios include evaporator leak indicated by refrigerant loss localized to the HVAC case, refrigerant odor in the cabin, or fault code activity related to the A/C system. The evaporator is included with the AC and heater assembly when a complete assembly is ordered. Installation requires evacuating the refrigerant from the A/C system using proper recovery equipment, disconnecting the refrigerant lines, removing the instrument panel and the HVAC case (a labor-intensive procedure on most modern trucks), and accessing the evaporator inside the case. The new evaporator installs in reverse, and the A/C system must be evacuated to vacuum and refilled with the proper refrigerant charge per the Ford workshop manual specifications.
