This genuine Ford ML3Z-4730-A leaf spring bumper is the rubber jounce bumper that limits rear suspension travel on 2021-2025 Ford F-150 pickups with rear-wheel-drive leaf-spring suspension. Ford lists it under the catalog name Bumper, also called the Leaf Spring Bumper. Mounted on the frame rail above the rear leaf spring stack, it cushions the contact between the axle and the frame when the suspension is fully compressed under a heavy load or a hard bump, protecting the spring pack and preventing a harsh metal-to-metal strike. Over time the rubber cracks, hardens, crumbles, or falls off entirely, and drivers then notice a loud bang or thud from the rear over bumps, when loading cargo, or when the bed is heavily loaded. Installing a fresh OEM bumper restores quiet, controlled suspension bottoming. This is a direct-fit replacement molded to the correct height and durometer for the F-150 rear leaf-spring application and is supplied to match the original Ford specification.
