This is the complete actuator unit that integrates the door latch and the power lock motor into a single replaceable component. The part incorporates the electric motor that engages and disengages the locking mechanism in response to remote key fob signals, interior door switches, and the central locking control module. Common symptoms that point to actuator replacement include the lock failing to cycle electrically while still working with the manual key, intermittent locking behavior, audible motor noise without movement, or a complete failure of the power lock function on the driver side. Because this is the factory original assembly, it integrates with the existing wiring harness connector, latch linkage rod geometry, and door panel mounting pattern without any modifications. The actuator also contains the door latch components, so it serves as a one-piece replacement when latch wear is suspected alongside actuator failure. Installation requires removing the interior door trim panel and the watershield membrane to access the latch assembly, disconnecting the harness connector, removing the latch mounting screws on the door edge, and detaching the rod linkages from the inside and outside handles.
