• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford throttle body mounting gasket for 21-25 F-150, F-250 Super Duty, and F-350 Super Duty across the gasoline engine applications. The gasket seals the throttle body against the intake manifold mounting flange and contains the air charge entering the manifold runners. A failing gasket typically presents as a vacuum leak at idle, rough or hunting idle behavior, a lean-fuel-trim trouble code stored by the powertrain control module, or an audible hiss at the throttle body during idle. The gasket is single-use and must be replaced any time the throttle body is removed for cleaning, replacement, or any other service. Mating surfaces must be cleaned of all old gasket material and inspected for warpage; if either surface is outside Ford specification, replace the affected component before installing the new gasket. Follow the published Ford service procedure for throttle body installation, including torque sequence and final torque value on the mounting fasteners. After installation, perform any required throttle body relearn procedure with a Ford-approved scan tool and confirm clean idle and absence of stored DTCs before returning the engine to service or load testing the truck.
