  This is the genuine Ford door mirror cover for the driver side outside rear view mirror, cataloged in the front left position and finished in black. Ford lists it under base number 17D743 with the catalog names Mirror Cover, Door Mirror Cover and Cover. It fits the 2021-2026 Bronco Sport and the Maverick compact pickup. The cover is the outer shell that snaps over the mirror housing; it protects the mirror motor, glass carrier, heating element and any turn signal or blind spot module from water, road grit and impact, and it forms the aerodynamic outer surface of the mirror. It is the part most commonly damaged in a mirror strike, because the cover shatters or scuffs while the mirror motor and glass survive intact. Buyers look for this cover after clipping a garage door frame, a mailbox or another vehicle mirror in traffic, after a car wash brush has torn the cover loose, or when the black finish has become scratched, chalky or faded from sun exposure.
