This is the genuine Ford MX6Z-8005-B engine radiator (radiator core assembly) for the 22-23 Ford Maverick equipped with the 2.0L EcoBoost gasoline engine. Per the Ford parts catalog, the Ford catalog, and the Ford catalog dealer catalogs, the radiator supersedes the earlier LX6Z-8005-L service number and the non-OEM RAD-265 cross reference. The radiator core uses aluminum tube and fin construction with the OEM specified row count, fin density, and end tank geometry tuned for the 2.0L EcoBoost cooling load including the integrated transmission oil cooler (TOC) section on equipped configurations. Replacement is required for external impact damage from road debris, internal corrosion failures causing weeping at the tube-to-tank joint, and cooling system contamination caused by mixing incompatible coolants. Always pressure-test the cooling system after radiator replacement and verify the proper Ford Specification coolant is used (Orange or Yellow as specified for the model year). The radiator hoses, radiator cap, thermostat, and water pump should be inspected at radiator service since these are common companion failures, and the workshop manual coolant fill procedure must be followed to purge air from the system properly.
