  This is the genuine Ford rear upper tailgate molding for F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks built 23-25, in the configuration without the integrated flex step. The molding caps the top edge of the tailgate, providing a finished trim surface and protecting the painted sheet metal from chips and corrosion along the upper lip. It is shaped to the contour of the Super Duty tailgate and snaps and fastens to factory locating points so the panel gaps line up correctly. Owners typically replace this molding after rear-end contact, a parking-lot scrape, or when the original piece has faded, cracked, or pulled loose and rattles at highway speed.
