  This is the front steering damper assembly for 2023 through 2025 Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks with all-wheel drive (or 4WD) and the heavy-duty suspension package. It supersedes KC3Z-3E651-F, KC3Z-3E651-H, ASH-866237, and ASH-866243. The damper is a hydraulic shock-style component that damps lateral steering inputs and reduces wheel shimmy. Use this part when the original is leaking oil, has lost damping force, or has been bent in an off-road event. Note the application differentiation: the -K suffix is the current authorized service piece for 23-25 AWD/HD-suspension trucks specifically. Earlier 2WD (twin-I-beam) trucks use the -C suffix, and the 4WD F-250/F-350 SD and Wide Track Front Suspension F-450/F-550 SD monobeam trucks use the -G suffix.
