  This is the genuine Ford front upper ball joint for 2023 through 2026 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks equipped with four-wheel drive. The upper ball joint is a pivot bearing that connects the top of the steering knuckle to the upper axle yoke, letting the wheel steer left and right while carrying suspension load and keeping the knuckle located under braking and cornering forces. On the heavy solid front axle these trucks use, the upper joint is a common wear item that develops play as its internal bearing surfaces and preload fatigue with age and mileage. A driver searching for this part is usually experiencing a clunk or popping over bumps, steering that feels loose or wanders on the highway, uneven or feathered front tire wear, an alignment that will not hold camber and caster, or a joint flagged during inspection.
