• Description:

  This genuine Ford exhaust valve actuator fits Mustang models built 24-25 with the 5.0L or 2.3L engine and operates the active exhaust valve that varies the exhaust note and backpressure depending on drive mode. The actuator opens and closes the valve within the muffler and pipe assembly, switching the exhaust between quieter and more aggressive flow paths. It is offered in left and right positions. Owners replace this actuator when the active exhaust no longer changes tone, when a buzzing or clicking comes from the rear, when a stuck valve sets a fault code, or when the system loses its drive-mode response. As the Ford catalog actuator, it is matched to the valve geometry and electrical interface of the Mustang active exhaust so it indexes correctly and responds to the controller as designed.
