This genuine Ford wire assembly is the under valve cover injector and glow plug wiring harness for the 1994.5 through 1997 OBS 7.3L Power Stroke diesel used in F-250 F-350 and E-350 vehicles. Mounted beneath the valve cover the harness connects the glow plugs and the fuel injector solenoids to the injector driver module and glow plug relay routing switched power through sealed connectors and studs to each cylinder. One harness serves each cylinder head. Because it lives in an oil filled high heat environment the harness insulation and connectors degrade and a leaking valve cover gasket accelerates the damage as oil saturates the boots and shorts the circuits. Failure shows up as a rough or dead cylinder hard cold starting no start conditions injector or glow plug fault codes and erratic running that comes and goes with engine temperature. Ford catalogs this part as Wire Assembly and it supersedes the earlier F4TZ-9D930-H harness. It is good practice to renew the valve cover gasket at the same time so fresh oil does not attack the new harness. Installing a correct harness restores reliable starting and smooth even running on all cylinders. This is a genuine Ford component built to original equipment specifications.
