• Description:

  This genuine Ford torsion bar is the driver-side, left-hand front suspension spring for the 1995-2011 Ranger, a hardened steel bar that resists twisting to provide the front spring rate and carry the weight of the front of the truck. One end anchors to the lower control arm and the other to the adjusting arm, and the bar sets ride height through the twist preload applied at the adjuster. As the bar fatigues or sags with age, or after damage, the front end drops on that corner, the ride height becomes uneven side to side, and the front suspension can bottom out or produce clunks over bumps. Buyers search for this part when the front of the truck sits low or leans, when ride height cannot be brought back to specification at the adjuster, or after a corroded or cracked bar is found. This is the left driver-side bar and is not interchangeable with the passenger side, and the mating adjusting arm is a separate component. This factory replacement restores correct spring rate and ride height to the original specification.
